Thanks to the organizing efforts of Festus Konneh and Cathy Goodwin, the Liberian Cultural Fellowship Luncheon on Sunday, April 27th, was a wonderful and joyous event. Delicious main dishes from Liberian cuisine were served, accompanied by dessert and beverage contributions from members of Saint Matthew's. Historical and other information about Liberia and its peoples was shared, and interesting "poster facts" were presented (look for the posters in the Common Room during the month of May!). The Parish Hall tables were full of happy and contented diners, as all enjoyed the food and fellowship! The overwhelming sentiment was "Let's do this again -- annually!" So-o-o: if you were unable to join us this year, watch for NEXT year's "Liberian Cultural Fellowship Luncheon Event" -- and plan to attend! Your tastebuds will thank you.

The Women of St. Matthew’s will meet on April 17^th to make favors for the Mother & Daughter Banquet to be held on May 10 ($6.00 adults, $2.00 children , under 5 FREE). All women are invited. We meet in the Ladies Parlor at 7:00PM. Hope to see you there. YARD SALE

St. Matthew’s is going to have an outdoor yard sale on Saturday, June 7^th (weather permitting). Tables will be $20 to rent. If you would like to reserve one, talk to Millie Cummings ASAP as they go rather fast.

TORNADOES GAME

St. Matthew’s is planning a trip to the ball game on Saturday, June 28^th at 6:00pm at Fitton Field (Holy Cross College). Tickets for reserved seats are $9.00 each. A six-session study of the Parables of Jesus will begin on Thursday, April 10^th, at 7 PM – all are welcome to join us for this exploration of these familiar – and not-so-familiar! – teaching stories of Jesus! The study will continue through April and May, meeting on April 10^th and 24^th, May 1^st, 8^th, 22^nd and 29^th. For additional information, please see the Rector.
