News from January Vestry meeting - New Vestry members were welcomed and "retiring" members thanked for their years of service.  Discussion on the renovation of the parish hall and new stage curtain was met with enthusiasm and excitement for the project.  New Outreach Committee Chairs were announced, Patti Cummings and Dave Saydeh.  Vestry voted that this year's Lenten self-denial offerings would be split between South Worcester Neighborhood Center and Heifer Project.  It was voted to accept the gift of 60 upholstered chairs for the parish hall from the Blackstone Valley Community Church.  Lenten Programs will begin February 14th.  Evening Prayer will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays during Lent at 5:30 pm in the church.  Discussion surrounding ways to honor some of our senior, dedicated members. 

News from December's Vestry meeting -- Members of the Vestry met with Hector and Monsi Quinones of the Blackstone Valley Community Church regarding the possibility of their congregation utilizing our Parish Hall for services on Sunday afternoons, 2-6 pm.  Vestry voted in favor of this church using our facility for a $50 room donation per week.

Voted to approve donations, as recommended by the Outreach Committee, to Jeremiah's Inn, Episcopal Relief & Development and the Worcester County Food Bank.

Mother Strong reported that she is now a board member of the South Worcester Neighborhood Center.

Future of our covenant with Sacred Heart Church is unclear as the future of the church is uncertain. 

Treasurers presented the draft budget for 2008 and was approved by the Vestry.
